DIY HAND WARMERS

diy, old sweater diy, orange hand warmers, hand warmers made from sweaters, sweater hand warmers, winter accessories, hand warmer design, valentines day gift, diy valentines day gifts, up-cycled, recycled
Remember my previous post titled, DIY Beanie? Here is another DIY that is made from an old sweater. I have been in the mood to up-cycle materials and discover different possibilities for old sweaters. It's been so much fun to make something new from something old and have a chance to use them right away. Hand warmers are especially great when you need all your fingers available on a cold day and don't want to trap your hands in mittens. I'm actually wearing them while typing right now! Hope everyone has a great start to your week!

Steps:

1. Prepare an old sweater, scissors, sewing machine, and needles.
2-3. Cut the two sleeves of the sweater off, whatever length is desired.
4. Cut a half-inch hole on the side of the sleeves.
5. Get 10 inches yarn from the sweater.
6. Hand sew the edges to secure from the fray.
7. Fold the edge of the other side of the hand warmer and sew them together for a nice edge, and you're done!
