21 DAYS OF LAYERS PRIZE

About two month ago, I was selected as a prize winner for Forever 21's Instagram challenge: 21 Days of Layers. To my surprise I received my gift prize today. I'm so grateful to have received this, so I thought it was worth for a blog post. Here is what I received in my prize package: gift cards, bracelet, sunglasses, and nail polish. I really love the color of the three nail polishes and I'm already thinking about how to design my next nail art! Again, this was an amazing contest and I want to thank Forever 21 for selecting me! I will keep an eye on their blog and Instagram account for the next fun challenge.

OVERSIZED SWEATSHIRT

I've recently fallen in love with playing with oversized tops, especially borrowed clothes from my boyfriend, like what I wore here. So, here I go again, I paired this Adidas sweatshirt with a pair of black heel boots to create a balance between the masculine and the feminine. The other reason I love this oversized sweatshirt is because I can wear something warm underneath it without anyone noticing! That's a trick to keep warm and also have a simple look at the same time. What are your tips for keeping warm in the winter?

SWEATER SEASON

Fall is the perfect season for wearing sweaters as outwear before the weather gets too cold. I'm a big fan of oversized sweaters, not only because they are comfortable, but you can also wear them for many different styles. For this outfit, I paired my yellow sweater with a black and white checked shirt, skinny jeans, flats, and a leather backpack for a casual fall style. The outfit can easily be changed into a formal style with a pair of black heels and a blazer or a punk style with boots and a leather jacket.

ARMY GREEN WITH DENIM

Green and blue are my favorite color combinations recently, you can see what I mean from this outfit two weeks ago. I paired a green leopard cardigan with a denim jacket. For today's outfit, I just flipped the order into a denim shirt with a green army jacket. When I first purchased this utility jacket in late spring, I always paired it with black or gray. What a big waste! I can't wait to wear it with floral or stripes or almost everything! What's your favorite piece to pair with a utility jacket?

YELLOW SCARF

When I wear all black, I like to pair it with a bold accessory to brighten the outfit up. I carried a vivid blue backpack in this all black outfit while I was apple picking earlier this fall. In this outfit, I used a rich yellow scarf. The weather is getting colder in New York so I will share some outfit tips in next few weeks on how you can keep stylish and warm.

WARM UP THE FALL

I love the way that the colors red and camel appear when worn in one outfit. This combination of colors makes me feel like they can warm up the cold weather a little bit. A camel coat is definitely a must-have piece for every girl for this coming winter. This H&M camel coat has a perfect thickness that I can pair with a blouse on warmer days or a sweater on the cooler ones.

PLAID MEETS HEELS

I identify my style as "go comfortable" whenever you can. What I mean is that I love wearing flats and sneakers, I am really not a big fan of high heel shoes. I briefly changed my mind when I tied this plaid shirt around my waist with a white tee and black leather skirt. I instantly knew there was nothing better than a pair of high heels for this outfit. I paired my top and skirt with a pair of ankle heel boots, which are great for the fall, but could easily be switched out for a pair of sandals in warmer weather.

SWEATER AND SHORTS

I love pairing long sleeve sweaters with shorts on a warmer day in the fall or a cooler day during the summer. I created more layers for this outfit by adding a black and white shirt underneath the sweater. This is the last outfit that I wore before I restyled the blue sweater into this jeweled sweater.
